This policy covers the data this platform actually collects and how it's used, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
If you register as a job seeker, we collect: your name, gender, date of birth, country of citizenship, religion (optional), contact details, address/location, education history and supporting documents, work experience, skills, two short videos you choose to record, and any social media links you add. We deliberately do not collect government ID numbers or ID documents.
If you register as an employer, we collect: your company name, work email, company registration number and registration document, contact number, website, and any social links you add.
Why we collect it
Job seeker information is used to build the searchable profile that employers use to find and contact candidates. Employer information is used to verify that your organisation is legitimate before granting search access. We also use contact details to send account verification codes, service notifications, and messages between employers and candidates.
Who can see your information
Job seeker profiles only become visible to employers once your profile meets the platform's completeness requirements and your email and phone are verified. Employers can only search and view profiles after their company registration has been approved by an administrator. Your uploaded documents and videos are never publicly accessible — they're only shown to approved employers viewing your full profile, or to platform administrators for verification purposes.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent at any time (which will deactivate your profile). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your profile data is removed; some records (such as audit logs of admin actions) may be retained where required for legitimate administrative or legal purposes.
Third parties
We use third-party services to deliver email and SMS verification codes and notifications. These providers process only the contact details necessary to deliver those messages and do not have access to your full profile.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
